Thought for the Day

"And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar." (Gen.8:20)
The face of the world had just been wiped clean by the Flood. Noah and his family here set foot in a world that was, in virtually every sense, completely unlike the one that had been overthrown. The topography, geography, biology and climate of earth had all been changed. Uncertainties abounded. How would they survive? What should they do first? But Noah...
"And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him. For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues" (MAR 3:9-10).
Jesus was very popular as long as he was healing the flesh of its troubles. Satan had once observed, "Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life" (JOB 2:4). For the sake of health, men will part with most anything (except their sins, usually...
